FLX Series Custom Multi-Level Stem Floats for Hazardous Areas

The APG FLX Series Custom Multi-Level Stem Floats for Hazardous Areas are made specifically for point level detection of liquids in containers. These are listed by Canadian Standards Association for Class 1, Div. 1, Groups C & D use in North America. The sensor has been tested and meets both Canadian and USA standards for hazardous locations. Available in a wide variety of mounting types, the FLX series are appropriate for use in classified flammable liquids.

The FLX series features a reliable, accurate mode of operation. Each sensor stem contains a hermetically sealed reed switch. As the permanent magnet float rises or falls with the level of the liquid, the reed switch is activated by the float magnet.

Install the FLX in accordance with Section 18 of the CEC or Article 500 of the NEC. The maximum temperature rating for the FLX is Class I, Div. I, Groups C & D applications is 40°C. The maximum temperature rating for the FLX in Class I, Div. II, Groups C & D applications is 85°C.
