Like APG’s web enabled LOE ultrasonic sensors, the RST-5001 module has been developed to provide a cost-effective solution for the monitoring of local and remote tanks or processes. The RST-5001 Module can accept any 4-20 mA output from a sensor and provide a method of calculating and reporting the level or volume of a vessel. It can also be set up to display and record user-defined units such as PSI, Temp, PH, etc. Readings are reported to a secure database on the Internet via an existing network connection. This data can than be viewed or downloaded from any computer with access to the Internet through a password-protected Web site. The RST-5001 / Website can be configured to provide e-mail or text alarms on any user-defined alarm or notification point. Two internal relays can be programmed to control pumps, activate local alarms or other processes. Module parameters and settings can be changed via the sensors internal web page, which is accessed by simply entering the sensor’s IP address into the address bar of the internet browser on any computer connected to the same network. The internal web page also displays the sensor readings, turning any computer on the network into a potential remote display/monitor.
